27/12/14: Kingshoot 2014

The Kingshoot was a great event, we had fabulous weather, 38 Competitors, a fantastic range of prizes from our kind sponsors and a worthy winner. After 12 Scoring shots we had two competitors tied for first place, Jim Lyon and Neville Jones bit past “Kings” . Neville had 14 previous victories while Jim had his first win in 2012. The final result was decided by a shot for shot “Shoot off” resulting in Neville taking the Honor this year and achieving 15 “Kingshoot” wins. There are many people to thank from the committee (they know who are are) A special mention to our wonderful Mayor of Mt Barker, Ann Ferguson for taking the time out of her Holidays to come and present the prizes and medals to all of our winners.

We also took a time to present Dean Keen an award for “45” years of service to the Club, once again, Thank You from all of us.

Results:
Neville Jones wins the 150th Anniversary Kingshoot, his 15th victory in this event.
2nd Place was won by Jim Lyon after a tied result required a “Shoot Off”
3rd Place won by Fred Guyatt

We will take a few weeks break, with our first scheduled Committee Meeting and Shoot on the 24th of January 2015.
